Abstract:[Abstract]Objective To study the effects of nutritional intervention and weight management in pregnant women and the impact on maternal and child outcomes. Methods A total of 320 pregnant women who underwent prenatal examination and delivery in our department from June 2015 to June 2017 were enrolled and randomly divided into the observation group and the control group, with 160 patients in each group.Pregnant women in the observation group were given nutritional guidance and weight management intervention during pregnancy, while those in the control group were only given routine prenatal examination during pregnancy. The weight gains of the two groups and the maternal and child outcomes at the time of delivery were compared. Results The subjects with excessive body weight in the observation group were fewer than those in the control group, and the difference between the groups was significant(P<0.05),suggesting that the weight control effect of the pregnant women in the observation group was better. The incidence of diabetes, hypertension and hyperlipidemia in the observation group during pregnancy was lower than that in the control group, and the difference between the groups was significant(P<0.05).The incidence of cesarean section, postpartum hemorrhage, and large fetus in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference between the groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The biochemical parameters, including low density lipoprotein(LDL),triglyceride(TG),total cholesterol(TC),glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c),fasting blood glucose (FPG)levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the level of high density lipoprotein(HDL)in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion Nutritional guidance and weight management in pregnant women can significantly reduce the incidence of overweight, improve various biochemical indicators, and lead to a better pregnancy outcome, which has higher application value and can be further promoted and applied.
