Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of blood glucose control in gestational diabetes mellitus on maternal and fetal outcomes. Methods The clinical data of 54 pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus who delivered in our hospital from January 2016 to January 2017 were retrospectively analyzed.Among them, the patients who underwent blood glucose control were selected as the observation group (27 cases),and those who did not control blood glucose effectively were selected as the control group (27 cases). The pregnancy outcomes and neonatal complications between the two groups were compared. Results The incidence rates of cesarean section, premature delivery, premature rupture of membranes and excessive amniotic fluid in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence rates of macrosomia, hypoglycemia and hyperbilirubinemia in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in the incidence retes of hypocalcemia, asphyxia, and congenital malformation between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Blood glucose control has an important effect on the maternal and infant outcomes of gestational diabetes mellitus. Therefore, early detection and control of blood glucose should be carried out to reduce the incidence of poor prognosis.
