Abstract:Objective To study the effect of continuous blood purification (CRRT) and intermittent hemodialysis (IHD)on electrolyte levels in patients with acute renal failure (ARF). Methods A total of 94 patients with ARF diagnosed and treated in the hospital from January 2017 to March 2019 were divided into observation group and control group by the random number table method with 47 cases in each group. Patients in the control group underwent IHD, and patients in the observation group underwent CRRT. Blood urea nitrogen and serum creatinine levels were compared before and after treatment. Electrolyte abnormalities after treatment and the incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results The levels of blood urea nitrogen and serum creatinine in the observation group after treatment were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). After dialysis, the proportions of K+, Na+ and Ca2+ electrolyte abnormalities in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). The total incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion For patients with ARF, CRRT can better improve blood urea nitrogen and serum creatinine levels, correct electrolyte abnormalities and reduce complications, compared with IHD. It is worthy of application.
