Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical effect of transurethral plasma resection of prostate combined with enucleation in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia. Methods A total of 60 patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia treated in our hospital from January to December 2018 were divided into control group (n=30) and study group (n=30)by random number table method. The study group was treated with transurethral plasma resection of prostate combined with enucleation, while the control group was treated with transurethral plasma resection of prostate. The postoperative complications, indexes follow-up for 3 months and safety during operation were compared between the two groups. Results The operation time, bladder washing time, catheter extraction time and postoperative hospitalization time of the patients in the study group were shorter than those in the control group, the amount of bleeding during operation was less than that in the control group, and the weight of resected tissue was higher than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05), but there were no significant differences in international prostate symptom score (IPSS), maximum urine flow (Qmax) and residual urine volume (RU) between the two groups (P>0.05). The total incidence of complications in the study group was lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Transurethral plasma resection of prostate combined with transurethral enucleation of prostate can effectively improve the safety of operation, significantly reduce the incidence of complications, reduce the recurrence rate and increase the ability of urinary control in patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia.
