Abstract:Severe craniocerebral injury is a common clinical neurosurgery serious disease, mainly due to the violent action of the patients′ head caused craniocerebral tissue damage coma for more than 6 hours,or the patient coma again. The incidence of severe craniocerebral injury is about 13.00%-21.00% of the total incidence of craniocerebral injury, and the mortality is significantly higher than that of ordinary craniocerebral injury.Severe craniocerebral injury is likely to cause severe damage to the patients′ neurological function and pose a serious threat to the patients′ physical and mental health, quality of life and quality of life.A large number of clinical studies have shown that patients with severe craniocerebral injury are in a state of high energy consumption and high catabolism, and the body energy consumption has increased significantly.By implementing early enteral nutrition, the body′s energy needs can be replenished in time, which can help improve the body′s immunity and avoid infection. However, after early enteral nutrition support treatment, various serious complications are prone to occur, such as gastrointestinal bleeding, hyperglycemia, etc, which will seriously affect the prognosis of the disease and even increase the risk of death. Therefore, the key to improving the prognosis of patients with severe head injury is to strengthen early enteral nutrition nursing intervention. This article reviews the research progress of early enteral nutrition support for patients with severe head injury,in order to provide clinical basis.
