Preventive effect of Misoprostol rectal medication combined with Oxytocin on hemorrhage after cesarean section

Abstract:Objective To explore the preventive effect of Misoprostol rectal medication combined with Oxytocin on hemorrhage after cesarean section.Methods Eighty parturients who underwent caesarean section in our hospital from January to June 2018 were randomly divided into control group and observation group,with 40 cases in each group.Both groups were given Oxytocin immediately after the delivery of the fetus,the control group received Oxytocin injection into the uterus,the observation group was given anal misoprostol after the delivery of the fetus.Observe and compare the amount of bleeding during and 24 hours after delivery,the level of hemoglobin before and after delivery and the occurrence of adverse reactions between the two groups.Results There was no significant difference in the amount of bleeding during operation and 24 hours after operation between the two groups(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in prenatal and postpartum hemoglobin levels between the two groups(P>0.05).There were no adverse reactions in both groups.Conclusion There is no difference between rectal Misoprostol Tablets combined with Oxytocin and simple use of Oxytocin in preventing postpartum hemorrhage.
