Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of multi-frequency vibration therapy device on preventing pulmonary infection in patients with cervical spinal cord injury(CSCI).Methods A total of 60 patients with CSCI admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University from January 2017 to March 2018 were selected as objects. They were divided into the control group and the intervention group according to the random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. In the control group, traditional sputum excretion of aerosol inhalation was used, including aerosol inhalation therapy and roll-back method, while in the intervention group,multi-frequency vibration therapy device was added on the basis of aerosol inhalation. After 7-day continuous treatment, the clinical efficacy, the incidence of pulmonary infection, and the satisfaction rate of the patients′families were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of sputum excretion in the intervention group was significantly higher than that in the control group, with significant difference (P=0.021).The incidence of pulmonary infection in the intervention group was lower than that in the control group, with significant difference(P=0.044).The satisfaction rate of patients′families was higher than that in the control group, with statistical difference (P=0.031).Conclusion On the basis of traditional sputum excretion treatment, application of multi-frequency vibration therapy device for patients with CSCI can effectively clear the respiratory secretions in time, keep the respiratory tract unobstructed, prevent the occurrence of lung infection, and significantly increase the satisfaction rate of patients′families. It is a safe and effective treatment and care measure, and is worthy of further promotion and application.
