Abstract:Objective To compare the effect of ultrasound-guided abdominal abscess puncture and surgical incision for drainage in patients with abdominal abscess. Methods A total of 70 patients with abdominal abscess from October 2010 to January 2018 in Dapeng Xinqu Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital were selected. They were equally divided into surgical group and puncture group by a random number table methed. In the surgical group, surgical incision for drainage was used, while in the puncture group,ultrasound-guided abdominal abscess puncture was adopted. The clinical efficacy, perioperative indicators, and complications were compared between the two groups. Results After corresponding treatments in the two groups, the cure and improvement rate was 97.14%,which was higher than that in the surgical group accounting for 68.57%with a significant difference between the two groups(χ2=10.057,P<0.01).In the puncture group, hospital stay was shorter than that of the surgical group, and the pain level was milder than that of the surgical group(P<0.05).The total incidence of postoperative complications in the puncture group was 5.71%(2/35),lower than that in the surgical group accounting for 28.57%(10/35)with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion Ultrasoundguided abdominal abscess puncture can significantly improve efficacy, shorten hospital stay, relieve pain, and reduce the risk of complications, and has a higher clinical application value compared with surgical incision for drainage.
