Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of Acetylcysteine Granules in the treatment of children with whooping cough. Methods A total of 120 children patients with whooping cough who were admitted to the department of infectious diseases in our hospital from January to December,2017 were selected as objects.According to the random pairing design, they were divided into the treatment group(60 cases)and the control group(60 cases). In the control group,Erythromycin or Azithromycin was used to prevent infection,Bromhexine Hydrochloride or Ambroxol for relieving cough and phlegm,Budesonide,Terbutaline oxygen inhalation and sucking care treatment. The treatment group received oral Acetylcysteine Granule on the basis of conventional treatment in the control group. The clinical symptoms, time of hospital stay, and total effective rates were compared between the two groups. Results The duration of spastic cough, the duration of cholestre-like echo, the duration of vomiting after cough, the duration of paroxysmal cyanosis, the disappearance of pulmonary rales, and the time of hospital stay in the treatment group after treatment were shorter than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion On the basis of conventional treatment, further oral administration of Acetylcysteine Granules in the treatment of whooping cough can significantly reduce the clinical symptoms and shorten the course of the disease in children. The drug is convenient for oral administration, safe, and easy to accept, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
