Abstract:Objective To explore the effect evaluation of community family contracted service model on improving the self-management ability of newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic patients.Methods A total of 164 patients with newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes mellitus(DM)who were admitted to our hospital in Bao′an District,Shenzhen City from December 2015 to January 2017 were selected.They were grouped using a random number table method,82 cases in each group.In control group,routine instruction was provided,while in observation group,community family contracted service model as an intervention was adopted.The blood glucose,blood pressure,self-management ability such as scientific diet,regular exercise,medication following doctor′s advice,and blood glucose monitoring of the two groups were compared.Results After intervention,the blood sugar and blood pressure of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group with statistical significance (P<0.05).The scores of self-management ability such as scientific diet,regular exercise,medication following doctor′s advice,and blood glucose monitoring in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion Community family contracted service for patients with newly diagnosed type 2 DM can stabilize blood glucose and blood pressure and improve self-management ability,which is worthy further promotion and application.
