Abstract:ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of improved cleaning and disinfection methods.MethodsA total of 210 digestive endoscopes that were routinely cleaned and disinfected from May 2016 to October 2017 in our hospital were selected as the control group,210 digestive endoscopes with improved cleaning and disinfection methods were selected as the observation group. The qualified rate of endoscopic disinfection between the two groups was compared.ResultsThere was no significant difference between the two groups in the effect of endoscopic disinfection for one minute (P>0.05).The effect of disinfection in the observation group for three minutes and five minutes was better than that in the control group respectively and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The qualified rate of the lens body and the bending part of the observation group were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).There was no statistical difference in the passing rate of the biopsy hole between the two groups (P>0.05).There was no significant difference in patients between the two groups for the incidence of gastrointestinal discomfort or chemical colitis after microscopic examination (P>0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions caused by o-phthalaldehyde in the observation group was lower than that of the control group(glutaraldehyde),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).ConclusionAfter the disinfection method of digestive endoscope is improved, the use of o-phthalaldehyde for disinfection has a significant effect, and it can greatly improve the qualified rate of cleaning and disinfecting the endoscope, effectively avoid the secondary pollution of endoscope, and the iatrogenicity caused by digestive endoscopy.Infection has a good preventive effect and it has a good preventive effect on iatrogenic infection caused by digestive endoscopy.
