Abstract:It is very important to establish an open airway for effective pulmonary ventilation in cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR),but there exist different kinds of technologies. With the improvement of the patient′s needs and the progress of medical technology, the open airway technology represented by the proseal laryngeal mask airway(PLMA)which aims to raise the CPR success rate is wildly used in clinic with its simplicity, efficiency and safety. This essay begins with the analysis of the four rescue measures-facemask pressure for ventilation, tracheotomy for ventilation, endotracheal intubation for ventilation and laryngeal airway for ventilation used in CPR,then comprehensively analyzes its history development, time and difficulty of operation, efficiency of ventilation and safety and finally summarizes the application of effective open airway in CPR.
