Abstract:Objective To discuss and analysis the value of ultrasonic measurement of fetal anterior nasal soft tissue thickness and nasal bone length in Down′s syndrome screening. Methods 41 survived fetuses with Down′s syndrome treated in our hospital from October 2010 to October 2015 were selected as experiment group, and another 41 healthy fetuses were selected as control group. The anterior nasal soft tissue thickness and nasal bone length were measured by ultrasound and the results were analyzed. Results The anterior nasal soft tissue thickness in the experiment group was significantly thicker than that in the control group (P<0.01).The nasal bone length in the experiment group was significantly longer than that in the control group, whose nasal bones all developed normally(P<0.01).Conclusion Compared with normal fetuses, the increase of anterior nasal soft tissue thickness is significantly thicker in fetuses with Down′s syndrome, which is of great value in Down′s syndrome screening when combined with ultrasonic measurement of nasal bone length.
