Cost-effect analysisof 2 kinds of traditional Chinese and W esternmedicine in treatment of common type hand foot and mouth disease

Abstract：Objective To explore the cost and clinical effect of 2 kinds of Chinese and Western combined therapy for common type hand foot and mouth disease.Methods 100 cases of children with common hand foot and mouth disease in our hospital from May to August 2015 were selected as research object and divided into group A and group B by random number table，each group was 50 cases.Patients in group A were treated with Xiyanping and Ribavirin，while in group B with Infantile Niuhuang Qingxinsan+Vidarabine Monophosphate，treatment effect，improvement of symptoms and signs and adverse reaction between two groups were compared，the two kinds of therapies were analysed for economic. Results Total effective rate of group A with 94%was significantly higher than 82%of group B，the difference was statistically significant（P＜0.05）.Antipyretic time and disappearance time of clinical symptoms（signs）etc.in group A were significantly shorter than those in group B （P＜0.05）.The adverse reaction incidence of group A was slightly lower than that of group B，and the difference had no statistical significance （P＞0.05）.The hospital stays and medical expenses of group A were significantly less than that of group B （P＜0.05）.Conclusion Clinical effect of Xiyanping and Ribavirin combination of Chinese and Western in treatment of common type of hand foot and mouth disease is reliable，which has the advantages of quick effect，short course of treatment，less adverse reaction and so on，and low cost，economy is better.
