Abstract:Objective To explore the effect and safety of gastric fundus tissue adhesive injection under endoscopy combined with variceal ligation in the treatment of esophageal and gastric varices(EGV)with cirrhosis. Methods 90 cases of EGV with cirrhosis in our hospital from January 2010 to January 2013 were selected and randomly divided into the experiment group and the control group,45 cases in each group. The control group was given variceal ligation, and the experiment group was given gastric fundus tissue adhesive injection under endoscopy combined with variceal ligation. The re-bleeding rate, the disappearing rate of varices and the incidence rate of adverse reaction in the two groups was compared. Results The re-bleeding rate of the experimental group was 20.0%,which was lower than 40.0%of the control group, with significant difference (P<0.05).The disappearing rate of varices in the experimental group was 40.0%,which was lower than 8.9%in the control group, with significant difference(P<0.01).The incidence rate of adverse reaction in the experimental group was 31.1%,which was lower than 46.7%in the control group, with significant difference (P<0.01).Conclusion Gastric fundus tissue adhesive injection under endoscopy combined with variceal ligation in the treatment of EGV with cirrhosis has significant curative effects, with low relapse rate and high safety.
