Abstract:Objective To evaluate the effect of Donepezil in the treatment of senile dementia.Methods Altogether 81 cases of senile dementia patients who were treated in our hospital from February 2015 to July 2016 were selected as study objects,and were randomly divided into two groups according to the comprehensive sequential method.The control group (n=40) was treated with conventional treatment,while the observation group (n=41) was given Donepezil hydrochloride treatment.The treatment effect of two groups was compared.Results Before treatment,MMSE scores and ADL scores were compared in two groups,the differences were not statistically significant (P>0.05).The total effective rate of observation group was 95.1%,which was significantly higher than that of control group (77.5%),and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Two groups of adverse reactions were compared,and the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05),the symptoms were mild and gradually relieved after symptomatic intervention.Conclusion Donepezil is effective in the treatment of senile dementia and can effectively improve patients′ mental status and intelligence level with good prognosis.which is worthy of clinical promotion.
