Abstract:Coronary heart disease is a serious threat to human health which is also a primary cardiovascular disease that causes death. With rising living standards, lifestyle changes in recent years, the incidence rate increased year by year, there is a trend towards younger development, how early and accurate diagnosis of coronary heart disease is particularly important.A large number of studies shows that carotid artery atherosclerosis is relevant to the morbidity and severity of coronary atherosclerotic heart disease.Color Doppler ultrasound has become the main checking method of clinical detection of peripheral atherosclerosis on account to its merits of economy, simplification and noninvasiveness. The severity of atherosclerosis by ultrasonic inspection and measurement can effectively judge the development of coronary heart disease. Therefore, indirect reflected by peripheral artery ultrasound detection of arterial intima-media thickness and plaque of coronary atherosclerosis has become a hot research at home and abroad.Through reading a lot of literatures, this paper reviews the research progress of the predictive value of carotid atherosclerosis in patients with coronary heart disease in recent years.
