Abstract:ObjectiveTo explore the efficacy of continuous comfort nursing in elderly patients with hip fracture after surgery.Methods88 elderly patients with hip fractures undergone surgery from January 2015 to January 2016 in our hospital were selected and randomly divided into the observation group and the control group, with 44 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, while the observation group was given continuous comfort nursing. The psychological states before and after nursing, incidence of complication, mortality rate, the conditions of hip joint function and activities of daily living were compared between two groups.ResultsBefore nursing, there were no significant differences among the scores of SAS and SDS in two groups(P>0.05);after nursing, the scores of SAS and SDS in two groups were all decreased, and compared with those before nursing, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).And those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of complication in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, the score of Harris was higher than those in the control group, the score of ADL was lower than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There were no significant difference between two groups in mortality rate(P>0.05).ConclusionFor elderly patients with hip fracture after surgery, implementation of continuous comfort care can effectively improve patient’s postoperative anxiety and depression, significantly reduce the incidence of postoperative complications, remarkably enhance the joint activity in the affected side as well as patient’s quality of life, which is worthy of promotion.
