Abstract:Objective To explore the application of sports beverage-based diet management model in the parturition of pregnant women with gestational diabetes. Methods A total of 86 cases of pregnant women with gestational diabetes admitted to our hospital from January 2017 to December 2018 were selected as the study objects.According to the alternating grouping method, they were divided into the reference group (43 cases) and the nursing group (43 cases). The reference group adopted the free diet mode method, while the nursing group implemented the sports beverage-based diet management model. The blood glucose levels at different stages of labor, duration of labor and incidence of neonatal hypoglycemia were compared between the two groups. Results Before diet management, there was no significant difference in blood glucose level between the two groups (P>0.05).After diet management, the blood glucose levels of the nursing group during delivery, after delivery, at the second stage of labor, from the active stage to the uterine opening were higher than those of the reference group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The second stage of labor and the full time from the active stage to the uterine mouth in the nursing group were shorter than those in the reference group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05).The incidence of neonatal hypoglycemia in the nursing group (4.65%) was lower than that in the reference group (25.58%), with statistically significant difference (P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with the conventional diet management mode, the sports beverage-based diet management mode in the labor process of gestational diabetic women has more obvious advantages, which can significantly improve maternal blood glucose level, shorten the labor process, and reduce the incidence of neonatal hypoglycemia.
