Abstract:Objective To explore the value of 64-slice spiral CT in the diagnosis of tetralogy of Fallot. Methods A total of 80 children with tetralogy of Fallot treated in Jiangxi Children′s Hospital from May 2012 to May 2016 were selected as the research subjects, all children received echocardiography and 64-slice spiral CT angiography. The results of echocardiography and 64-slice spiral CT angiography were compared using surgical results as the gold standard, the diagnostic value of the two methods was analyzed. Results After surgery, there were 331 cardiovascular malformations. The types of lesions included right ventricular hypertrophy, ventricular septal defect, pulmonary artery stenosis, and aortic straddle. The diagnostic sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of 64-slice spiral CT angiography were higher than those of echocardiography in pulmonary artery stenosis, ventricular septal defect, aortic riding, and right ventricular enlargement, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion 64-slice spiral CT angiography has a high diagnostic accuracy rate for children with tetralogy of Fallot, and its specificity and sensitivity were high, which provides accurate and effective basis for early clinical surgery and improves the survival rate of children.
