Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of moxibustion combined with self-made dysmenorrhea patch on pain degree and sleep quality in the clinical treatment of patients with cold-coagulation and blood stasis dysmenorrhea. Methods A total of 120 patients with cold-coagulation and blood stasis dysmenorrhea who were treated in Xuzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from March 2017 to February 2019 were selected as the research objects. The patients were divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number table method, with 60 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional medications, and the observation group was treated with moxibustion combined with self-made dysmenorrhea patch. The pain degree, clinical symptoms and sleep quality of the two groups were compared. Results The visual analogue scale (VAS) scores of the two groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment, and the VAS score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The dysmenorrhea duration score and severity score of the two groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment, the dysmenorrhea duration score and severity score of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The Pittsburgh sleep quality index scale (PSQI) scores of the two groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment, and the PSQI score of the observation group was lower than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The application of moxibustion combined with self-made dysmenorrhea patch in the clinical treatment of patients with cold-coagulation and blood stasis dysmenorrhea can effectively shorten the duration of symptoms, reduce the severity, and help reduce pain and improve sleep quality.
