Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical value of C-reactive protein (CRP) in the detection of mycoplasma pneumonia (MP) in children. Methods A total of 60 cases of MP children in Maoming Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital from March 2019 to March 2021 were selected as the observation group, and a total of 60 cases of healthy children in the same period were selected as the reference group. The serum CRP levels and CRP positive rates of the two groups were compared, the serum CRP levels of the observation group in the acute stage and recovery stage was compared, and the mild and severe cases in the observation group was compared. The levels of serum CRP in the severe group was compared with those in the observation group at admission and 5 days after treatment. Results The level of serum CRP in the observation group was higher than that in the reference group, the positive rate of CRP in the observation group was higher than that in the reference group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The level of serum CRP in acute stage was higher than that in convalescent stage, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The level of serum CRP in severe group was higher than that in mild group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).After 5 days of treatment, the serum CRP level was lower than that on admission, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion The level of serum CRP in children with MP is high. With the improvement of the disease, the level of serum CRP will decrease.Strengthening the detection of serum CRP can accurately evaluate the condition of children with MP.
