Effect of intensive nursing mode on accuracy of inhalation dosage and pulmonary function in elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

Abstract:Objective To investigate the effects of intensive nursing mode on the accuracy of inhalation dosage and lung function in elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).Methods A total of 200 elderly patients with COPD admitted to the First People's Hospital of Fuzhou in May 2019 and April 2020 were selected as the research objects and divided into observation group(100 cases)and control group(100 cases)according to the random number table method.The observation group was treated with centralized nursing method,while the control group was treated with routine nursing method.The improvement of lung function indexes and the correct rate of inhalation preparation were compared between the two groups.Results After nursing,the forced vital capacity(FVC),forced expiratory volume in the first second(FEV1)and FEV1/FVC of observation group were lower than those of before nursing,and the FVC,FEV1 and FEV1/FVC of the observation group were lower than those of the control group after nursing,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The scores of inhalant use and the correct rate of inhalant use in observation group were higher than those in control group after nursing,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Through the implementation of centralized nursing for elderly COPD patients,the accuracy of inhalation dosage and lung function have been greatly improved,and the recovery of patients has been promoted,which is worthy of clinical promotion of this model.
