Abstract：To summarize the nursing experience of a leukemia patient who had difficulty in decannulation due to fibrin sheath formation after catheterization in peripherally inserted central venous catheter(PICC).Through the clear diagnosis of fibrin sheath caused by PICC catheterization,timely auxiliary examination,implementation of targeted nursing management and psychological intervention,the catheter was successfully removed and thus avoided the surgical treatment due to the decannulation difficulty.In this paper,the main points in the treatment and nursing of fibrin sheath in peripheral central venous catheterization were analyzed in detail,and the causes of fibrin sheath formation,diagnostic methods,drug therapy and the significance of early prevention were summarized,in order to provide reference and suggestions for future treatment of this problem.
