Abstract:Objective To investigate the cognition-attitude-behavior of AIDS among clinical and non-clinical students in Luzhou Southwest Medical University, and to provide evidence for targeted AIDS prevention and treatment. Methods A total of 246 undergraduate students from Southwest Medical University from 2015 to 2020 were selected as research objects by stratified and cluster sampling method, and anonymous questionnaire survey was conducted to analyze the knowledge, belief and practice of AIDS among the students. Results The accuracy of most questions clinical students was higher than that of non-clinical students, but the two types of students' awareness of AIDS was not comprehensive.The awareness rate of girls and boys was 93.97% and 91.54% respectively. The awareness rate of sophomores is the lowest among the five grades, 87.76%; The awareness rate of college students in love is low, 89.83%. In terms of attitude, more than 80% of the students were willing to accept anonymous HIV antibody testing and become volunteers for the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases. 80% of clinical majors and 74.4% of non-clinical majors expressed their willingness to work and study with AIDS patients. More than 90% of the students are willing to accept the learning of AIDS health education, mainly through video publicity and traditional education. Conclusions Through this survey, can understand the status quo of clinical and non-clinical college students' knowledge, belief and practice of AIDS, carry out targeted AIDS health education, implement the national AIDS prevention policy, in order to improve students' awareness of AIDS and related knowledge rate,cultivate a positive and healthy lifestyle, and enhance self-protection awareness. It is of great significance to AIDS prevention and education in the future.
