Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of alternate nostril breathing (ANB) on patients with hypertension comorbid anxiety. Methods A total of 80 patients with hypertension and anxiety established records in community health service centers in Shigu District, Hengyang City, from June to December 2020 were selected, the patients were divided into the intervention group and the control group by random draw method, 40 cases in each group. Two groups of patients were given routine treatment, the control group was given routine management, the intervention group was given ANB nursing.Systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate and self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) of the two groups before and after intervention were compared. Results The systolic pressure and diastolic pressure of the intervention group were lower than those of the control group after intervention, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention, the heart rate and respiratory rate in the intervention group were lower than those in control group, with statistical differences (P<0.05).The score of the SAS of the intervention group was lower than that of the control group after intervention, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion ANB decreases the level of systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate of patients with hypertension comorbid anxiety in the community, and improves the anxiety level in hypertensives.
