Impact of continuing nursing combined with multimedia health education on elderly patients with chronic diseases

Abstract:Objective To explore the impact of continuing nursing combined with multimedia health education on elderly patients with chronic diseases.Methods A total of 80 elderly patients with chronic diseases admitted to the Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Health Vocational and Technical College from January to October 2020 were selected as the research subjects.According to the random number table,they were divided into the control group and the observation group,40 cases in each group.The control group provided with conventional nursing measures and health education model,the observation group adopted continuing nursing combined with multimedia health education.The self-care ability,health behavior cognition,and nursing satisfaction between the two groups were compared.Results The self-care ability score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,the health behavior cognitive score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The nursing satisfaction rate was 92.50%,higher than that of the control group accounting for 72.50%,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The combined application of continuing nursing and multimedia health education during the nursing of elderly patients with chronic diseases can improve patients′cognitive function,enhance their self-care ability and medication compliance,and play a positive role in ameliorating the quality of life.
