Abstract:Objective To investigate the value of multi-slice spiral CT (MSCT) enhanced scan in evaluating preoperative TNM staging of stomach cancer (SC). Methods A retrospective analysis was performed among 50 inpatients with SC who were diagnosed by surgery and histopathology in our hospital from January 2017 to May 2019. One senior chief physician and two deputy chief physicians formed a team for diagnosing preoperative TNM staging of SC. TNM staging of SC was carried out according to the results of preoperative findings of MSCT enhanced scan. With postoperative histopathological diagnosis as the golden standard, preoperative TNM staging by MSCT and pathological diagnosis of TNM staging were statistically analyzed. Results The accuracy rates of MSCT for T staging, N staging and M staging were 72.00%, 80.00% and 96.00%, respectively. The corresponding Kappa values were 0.612, 0.590 and 0.883, respectively. Conclusion MSCT enhanced scan can be usd to observe the imaging from multiple angles of the rotation axis. It can accurately diagnose the degree of SC infiltration and lymph node metastasis. It can be used as an effective method for preoperative TNM staging of SC, and provide a basis for clinical surgical treatment.
