Abstract:Objective To observe the application effect of optimized perioperative nursing in the pulsed radiofrequency treatment for post-herpetic neuralgia (PHN).Methods A total of 94 patients with PHN treated by pulsed radiofrequency in Yong′an General Hospital of Sanming City, Fujian Province from January 2014 to December 2016 were selected and divided into observation group and control group according to random number table method, 47 cases in each group. The control group was given routine perioperative nursing, and the observation group was provided with targeted optimized nursing on the basis of routine perioperative nursing. The scores of visual analogue scale (VAS), Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI), anxiety and depression scales and the MOS 36-item short form health survey (SF-36) were observed at 1 week, 1, 3 and 6 months after intervention to evaluate the degree of pain, sleep quality, emotional status and the quality of life of patients. Results The score of PSQI in the observation group after intervention was lower than that of the control group (P<0.05).The anxiety and depression scores in the observation group intervention were lower than those of the control group (P<0.05).The score of SF-36 in the observation group after intervention was higher than that of the control group, with statistical differences (P<0.05).Conclusion Applying optimized perioperative nursing to patients with PHN who received pulsed radiofrequency treatment can significantly alleviate their pain and improve their sleep quality, emotional state, and life quality.
