Meta analysis of the application effect of CP teaching in medical clinical teaching

Abstract:Objective To evaluate the application effect of CP teaching in medical clinical teaching.Methods A total of 38 randomized controlled trials(RCTs)were collected from the full-text database of Chinese journals in the past five years(2012-2017).Literatures were independently selected and data were extracted according to inclusion and exclusion criteria.Data were analyzed by using RevMan 5.3 software.Results A total of 29 RCTs were included and more than 1000 students were enrolled.The results showed that CP teaching had significant effects on students′theoretical test scores(SMD=1.82,95%CI[1.70-1.94],P<0.01),practical skill operation scores(SMD=1.57,95%CI[1.45-1.69],P<0.01)and case analysis ability test scores(SMD=1.51,95%CI[1.30-1.73],P<0.01),which were better than general clinical teaching.Conclusion CP teaching is a relatively scientific teaching method and can be applied to clinical teaching.
