Abstract:ObjectiveTo explore the effect of arc-shaped incision for expanding skull drilling drainage in the treatment of chronic subdural hematoma.MethodsFrom January 2015 to December 2016,32 patients with chronic subdural hematoma admitted into our hospital were selected as the observation group.Another 32 patients with chronic subdural hematoma admitted from January 2013 to December 2014 were treated as the control group. In the control group, percutaneous cone drainage was used, while in the observation group,arc-shaped incision for expanding skull drilling drainage was adopted. The therapeutic effect and incidence of complications were compared between the two groups.ResultsThere was no significant difference in operation time of hospital stay between the two groups(P>0.05).The total effective rate in the observation group was 93.8%,which was significantly higher than that of the control group(81.3%)(P<0.05).The total incidence of complications in the observation group was 6.2%,which was greatly lower than that of the control group(25.0%)(P<0.05).ConclusionArc-shaped incision for expanding skull drilling drainage in the treatment of chronic subdural hematoma can obtain a remarkable effect and is worthy to be promoted.
