Abstract:Objective To investigate the application value of combined detection of serum amyloid protein A(SAA)and C-reactive protein(CRP)in the differential diagnosis of infective diseases in children. Methods A total of 153 children with infectious diseases from August 2016 to March 2018 in our hospital were selected as the research object.According to the results of pathogen detection, they were divided into the bacterial infection group(n=81)and the virus infection group (n=72).A total of 32 healthy children in the same period were selected as the healthy control group. The levels of SAA and CRP in children in each group were detected by immunoturbidimetric method and compared. The sensitivity and specificity of SAA and CRP combined detection in the diagnosis of bacterial infectious diseases in children were analyzed. Results The levels of SAA and CRP in the bacterial infection group were significantly higher than those in the viral infection group and the healthy control group (P<0.05).The level of SAA in the viral infection group was significantly higher than that in the healthy control group (P<0.05),but there was no significant difference in the CRP level between the viral infection group and the healthy control group (P>0.05).The ROC curve analysis showed that the area of AUC of SAA and CRP combined detection was the highest among the three diagnostic methods, and the sensitivity and specificity of the combined diagnosis of SAA and CRP were higher than that of SAA and CRP alone. Conclusion The combined detection of SAA and CRP can effectively distinguish the kinds of infective diseases in children, and the specificity and sensitivity of diagnosis are both high, which has high clinical application value.
