Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of application of maternal and infant bedside nursing in promotion of maternal nursing skills and their nursing satisfaction.Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on 50 pregnant women who were hospitalized in Department of Neonatology of Baoan District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Shenzhen from September 2017 to March 2018.All the pregnant women were divided into the experiment group and control group according to the different nursing methods,25 cases in each group.In the experiment group,the maternal and infant bedside nursing methods was adopted;while,the control group was treated with traditional nursing methods.The nursing satisfaction and the mastery degree of neonatal nursing skills of all the cases were investigated and compared at discharge.Results The nursing satisfaction of the experiment group was higher than that of the control group,with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The scores of hip nursing,umbilical nursing,infant bathing and swimming and touch-related nursing of experiment group were significantly higher than those of control group,with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion Maternal and infant bedside nursing can effectively promote maternal mastery of neonatal nursing skills and significantly improve their satisfaction with nursing,which is worthy of clinical application.
