Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical effects of individualized physical exercise therapy intervention on adolescent idiopathic scoliosis. Methods A total of 208 patients with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis who were admitted to our hospital from January to December in 2016 were selected as subjects.According to the specific morphology of scoliosis, the participants were divided into four types such as 3C(n=37),4C(n=54),N3N4(n=60),and single lumbar/thoracolumbar scoliosis(n=57).The individualized physical exercise therapies were targeted on different types of scoliosis. The improvement of Cobb angles, trunk rotation, and score of body pain before and after interventions were compared. Results Before intervention, patients′trunk rotation was mostly concentrated at 3°-4°,while after therapy, the rotation was at 1°-2°.After the intervention, the average Cobb angle was (8.4±2.1)°,significantly lower than before the intervention,(27.3±5.4)°.The patient′s body pain score was(2.7±1.4)points,greatly lower than the pre-intervention,(8.6±2.3)points with a significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion Individualized physical exercise therapy as an intervention for adolescent idiopathic scoliosis can not only effectively improve patient′s spine deformity, but also reduce the pain of the spine. Therefore,it has a good therapeutic effect.
