Abstract:ObjectiveTo explore the changes of levels of ESAT-6 and IL-10 before and after the treatment of tubercular meningitis and its clinical significance.Methods52 patients with tubercular meningitis who were admitted to our hospital from March 2014 to March 2016 were selected as the observation group, and 33 patients without tubercular meningitis who were admitted to our hospital during the same period of time were selected as the control group. The changes of levels of ESAT-6 and IL-10 before and after the treatment were compared and analyzed between the two groups.ResultsThe levels of ESAT-6 and IL-10 before the treatment in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of ESAT-6 and IL-10 in the observation group were significantly lower than those before treatment, and the differences with in the group were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of ESAT-6 and IL-10 in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The differences of the levels of ESAT-6 and IL-10 in the control group before and after the treatment were not statistically significant(P>0.05).ConclusionThe detection of ESAT-6 and IL-10 levels can evaluate the severity of disease for the patients with tubercular meningitis, which plays a guiding significance in formulating effective intervention measures and evaluating clinical efficacy.
