Abstract:ObjectiveTo investigate the diagnostic significance of nerve electrophysiological examination in critically illness myopathy.Methods30 cases with critically illness myopathy diagnosed treated in our hospital from January 2015 to December 2016 were selected and set as the observation group,at the same period of time,50 healthy subjects were selected and set as control group, subjects in two groups were given electrophysiological examination, and the motor nerve and sensory nerve electrophysiological examination results were analyzed and compared, and the compliance of electrophysiological examination in diagnosis of critical illness myopathy was counted.ResultsThe electrophysiological examination results of motor nerve showed that motor nerve conduction velocity and evoked potential amplitude of median nerve and ulnar nerve in observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group (P<0.05),and distal latency of the motor evoked potential was significantly prolonged (P<0.05).The electrophysiological examination results of sense nerve showed that sense nerve conduction velocity and evoked potential amplitude of median nerve and ulnar nerve in observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).The sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, positive predictive value and negative predictive value of electrophysiological examination for the diagnosis of critical illness myopathy was 96.67%,96.00%,96.25%,93.55%,97.96%respectively,and it was in good agreement with the diagnosis result(Kappa=0.724).ConclusionThe accuracy of the neurophysiological examination in the diagnosis of critically illness myopathy is high, and it can reflect the nerve injury of critically illness myopathy.
