Abstract:ObjectiveTo explore the application of PDCA nursing management mode in the emergency department nursing management,in order to improve the emergency department doctors and patients satisfaction.MethodsA total of 6000 patients were enrolled in the emergency department from January 2011 to December 2012,respectively.After taking the PDCA nursing management model,the patients were enrolled in the emergency department from January 2013 to December 2014,and the incidence of medical disputes between two groups was compared.100 patients before PDCA implemented and 100 patients after PDCA implemented were selected and the degree of satisfaction between two groups was compared.The same 30 nurses in Jaunary 1-31 2011 and December 1-31 2014 were selected,and the quality of nuring between two groups was compared.ResultsBeforeimplementation of the PDCA nursing management pattern,the incidence of disputes is 2.38%,comparing to 0.69%after the implementation of PDCA,the incidence of disputes declined significantly,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);before carrying out PDCA nursing management mode,the patients′satisfaction was 63%,lower than 89%after the implementation of the PDCA,and the differences were statistically significant(χ2=14.871,P<0.05).Before carrying out emergency medical staff degree of satisfaction was 63.33%,lower than 90.00%after implementation of PDCA,the differences were statistically significant(χ2=16.756, P<0.05).ConclusionThe PDCA nursing management model can circulate and continuously improve the nursing and medical level of emergency department,so that the process of emergency department is more systematic and standardized,and it is of practical significance in practical work.
