Abstract:ObjectiveTo observe effect of oral Montelukast combined with Salmeterol Fluticasone inhalation on experssion levels of cytokines related to T helper(Th)17 cells transforming growth factor beta(TGF-beta),interleukin(IL)-17 and IL-23 in patients with new-onset bronchial asthma.MethodsAccording to different treatmentmethods,sixty patientwith new-onset bronchial asthma admitted into our hospital from October 2014 to April 2016 were divided into routine treatment group(n=20)and Montelukast combined with Salmeterol Fluticasone group whom received Montelukast combined with Salmeterol Fluticasone (n=40).Another 20 health people were selected as healthy group.The serum and sputum supernatan levels of inflammatory factors such as TGF-β,IL-17 and IL-23 were measured by ELISA before and after outpatient treatment for 3 months.ResultsCompared with healthy group,the serum and sputum supernatan levels of inflammatory factors such as TGF-β,IL-17 and IL-23 was higher that in the routine treatment group and the Montelukast combined with Salmeterol Fluticasone group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).After treatment for 3 months,the expression level TGF-βand IL-23 of two groups was significantly lower than that before treatment(P<0.05);compared with routine treatment group,expression levels of serum TGF-βand IL-23 in the Montelukast combined with Salmeterol Fluticasone group decreased significantly (P<0.05).There was no significant change in the expression of IL-17 in the serum and sputum supernatant of two groups before and after treatment for 3 months (P>0.05).ConclusionCytokines related cytokines Th17 cellsmay play important roles in the development of asthma,and using of Montelukast combined with Salmeterol Fluticasone can inhibit the experssion of cytokines related to Th17 in patientswith asthma.
