Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect on combination of traditional Chinese and Western medicine in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis. Methods 50 cases of knee osteoarthritis patients from September 2013 to September 2015 in our hospitalwere divided into treatment group(n=25)and control group(n=25)according to the random number tablemethod.Patients in the control group were treated with routine western medicine therapy,and the treatment group were treated with combination of Chinese and Western traditional medicine.The VAS score and lower limb function score of all cases were observed before and after treatment,and adverse reaction of the patients were observed.Results After treatment,the VAS score of the treatment group was lower than that of the control group,and the lower limb function scorewas higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).In the treatment group,the effective rate(96.0%)was significantly higher than that of the control group(76.0%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).No adverse reactionswere found between the two groups during the treatment,and the treatment was well tolerated.Conclusion The clinical curative effect of the combination of Chinese and Western traditionalmedicine in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis is remarkable,which can reduce the clinical symptoms,improve joint function,and improve the quality of life of patients.
