Abstract：Objective To explore the toxicity with inhalation of Chloroacetic Acid （CA）smoke inhalation injury in rats and its ultrastructural change of the lung. Methods 60 ratswere divided into 3 groups to observe poisoning changes in breathing the smoke of CA，sulpharic acid and heating water，and after 6 hours，the rats were killed and the lungs were taken tomicroscopical and electronmicroscopical examinations.Results There were 2 rats（10%）died in CA smoking group，with the pulmonary changes of pathologic bronchitis and ultrastructural changes of the alveolar cell swelling，intracytoplasmic vacuoles，widened alveolar septum and capillary thrombus.Conclusion CA smoking inhalation injury would induce absorpton poisoning and cause death，so it should be closed production，handling should put an end to" run，ooze，drip，leak"，the scene should wear protectivemask，to avoid the smoke inhalation.
