Abstract:Objective To compare the image features and the diagnostic accuracy of ultrasound in thyroid adenoma and nodular goiter so as to analyze the effectiveness of application of ultrasound in the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of the two diseases.Methods From January 2014 to December 2015 altogether 120 surgically-and pathologically-diagnosed thyroid adenoma and nodular goiter patients in our hospital(60 cases of patients for each disease)were selected and divided into two groups(thyroid adenoma group and nodular goiter group)according to the different diagnostic results.Color doppler ultrasonic examinations of the two groups of patientswere performed so as to observe the size,shape,quantity,capsule and surrounding tissue and blood flow signal of thyroid lesions and compare the image features of the two groups.Results The diagnostic accuracy rate of nodular goiter was 93.3%,and the diagnostic accuracy rate of thyroid adenoma was 90.0%.The ultrasound imaging features of the two groupswere significantly different(P<0.05).The distribution of ultrasonic blood flow signal classification of two groups showed obvious significant differences(P<0.05). Conclusion Various ultrasound image characteristics of nodular goiter and thyroid adenoma are significantly different. Doppler ultrasound blood flow signal classification can help doctors to analyze the ultrasound images of thyroid adenoma group and nodular goiter group,which is also helpful for differential diagnosis of the two diseases and can provide an important basis for the clinical diagnosis and treatmentof thyroid diseases.
