Abstract:Objective To investigate the TORCH infection rate of infertile women and sperm donors in Guangdong area and the TORCH infection distribution in different seasons. Methods From January 2012 to June 2015,10 531 cases of infertiled women and 1505 sperm donorswere detected by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)for the detection of Toxoplasma, rubella virus, cytomegalovirus and herpes simplex virus IgM antibody in our hospital. Results From high to low,the positive rate of IgM TORCH antibody in infertiled women in Guangdong area was 1.7%in Cytomegalovirus,1.1%in Herpes simplex virus,1.1%in Rubella virus and 0.7%in Toxoplasma gondii, respectively. From high to low,the positive rate of IgM TORCH antibody in sperm donors was 1.8%in Cytomegalovirus,1.3%in Herpes simplex virus,1.5%in Rubella virus and 0.9%in Toxoplasma gondii, respectively. There was no significance in same pathgoen between infertile women and sperm donors, the positive rate of CMV was the highest and the positive rate of Toxoplasma gondiiwas the lowest. The total positive rate was 4.7%(563/12 036).In different seasons, the positive rate of pathgoen has no significance difference(P>0.05).Conclusion There is a certain proportion of TORCH infection in the infertile population with no obvious seasonal changes, which should be widely used in health education to reduce the incidence of adverse pregnancy induced by TORCH infection.
