Abstract:Objective To analyze the component and distribution of urinary calculi for adult patients in Dongguan City and provide the basis in the prevention of urolithiasis.M ethods The specimens of urinary calculi(859 cases)sent from April 2014 to June 2016 in our hospital were selected.The specimens were collected during surgery,extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy and spontaneous passage.The subjects were divided into groups according to the patient′s age. The component,distribution and position of urinary calculiwere observed.Results 90%of urinary calculiwere composed of calcium oxalate,carbonate apatite and uric acid.Among them,calcium oxalate,calcium oxalate and calcium carbonate were themost,which reached 39.58%and 38.88%,which wasmuch higher than other components(P<0.05).For young group,the urinary calculiwasmajorly composed of calcium oxalatemonohydrate,and carbonate apatite;formiddle aged group,the urinary calculiwasmajorly composed of calcium oxalatemonohydrate;for elderly group,the urinary calculiwas majorly composed of uric acid.The urethral calculus,renal calculus and ureteral calculusweremajorly composed of calcium oxalate and carbonate apatite;the vesical calculus weremajorly composed of uric acid.Conclusion For adult patients in Dongguan City,the urinary calculiaremajorly composed of calcium oxalate,carbonate apatite and uric acid.The urethral calculus,renal calculus and ureteral calculus aremajorly composed of calcium oxalate and carbonate apatite;the vesical calculiaremajorly composed of uric acid.
