Abstract：Objective To explore the main cause of gestational thrombocytopenia and clinical treatment method during delivery.Methods Clinical data from 60 gestational patients with thrombocytopenia in our department of obstetrics from January 2008 to December 2013 were retrospectively analyzed.The medical history from each patient was sumed up，and all patients were performed with physical examination，laboratory test，and B ultrasound examination.The main reasons leading to gestational thrombocytopenia were summarized and treatment method in patients with gestational thrombocytopenia during childbirth was concluded.Results The incidence rate of gestational thrombocytopenia and idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura was higher than that of thrombocytopenia caused by other causes，with significant difference （P＜0.05）.After providing with glucocorticoid and platelet preparations for treatment，there was no significant difference in the incidence rate of complication between vaginal delivery and caesarean section（P＞0.05）.One preterm neonate was dead，and the rest were survived.Conclusion The gestational thrombocytopenia and idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura are the major factors causing thrombocytopenia in pregnancy，glucocorticoid and platelet preparations can be selected to improve the condition of platelets in clinic.
