Abstract：Objective To investigate the clinical effect of tongxinluo capsule combined with nimodipine and oxiracetam on vascular cognitive impairment（VCI）.Methods 120 patients with VCI in our hospital from September 2013 to June 2015 were randomly divided into observation group（n=60）and control group（n=60）.Patients in control group were treated with nimodipine and oxiracetam.Patients in observation group were treated with tongxinluo capsule combined with nimodipine and oxiracetam.After a six months course of treatment，the clinical curative，the score of minimum mental state examination（MMSE），activity of daily living scale and adverse reaction incidence were compared between two groups.Results Total efficiency of the control group was 43.1%，lower than 71.7%in the observation group.There was significant difference between the control group and the observation group about the clinical effect（P＜0.05）.About the score of MMSE and activity of daily living scale there were no significant differences before treatment between two groups（P＞0.05），while after treatment there were significant differences（P＜0.05）.There were significant differences between before and after treatment about the score of MMSE and activity of daily living scale in two groups respectively （P＜0.05）.The two groups had no significant adverse reactions.Conclusion Tongxinluo capsule combined with nimodipine and oxiracetam is safe and effective in the treatment of VCI and worth of being popularized.
