Abstract:Objective To analyze the risk factors of colorectal adenoma occurrence in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods A total of 2025 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with colorectal adenoma diagnosed by our hospital from January 2011 to January 2017 were set as the observation group and 2700 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus having no colorectal adenoma treated in our hospital at the same time were set as the control group. The general data between the two groups were compared and multivariate analysis was performed. Results There were no significant differences in gender, the rate of heredity, obesity, high fat diet rate and the incidence of polycystic ovary syndrome between the two groups(P>0.05).Multivariate analysis showed that metabolic syndrome, glycosylated hemoglobin and postprandial blood glucose were risk factors for colorectal adenoma in type 2 diabetic patients(P=0.000).Conclusion Metabolic syndrome, glycosylated hemoglobin and postprandial blood glucose were risk factors for type 2 diabetic patients complicated with colorectal adenoma.
