Abstract:Objective To observe the efficacy of Pranoprofen Eye Drops after pterygium surgery. Methods The clinical data of 70 eyes of 70 patients with primary pterygium who received pterygium excision combined with corneal limbal stem cell transplantation from January to December 2018 in Fuqing City Hospital were analyzed retrospectively. The patients were divided into the control group and the observation group according to random number table method,35 cases in each group. Both groups were given Levofloxacin Eye Drops and recombinant human epidermal growth factor eye drops after surgery, the observation group was additionally given Pranoprofen Eye Drops. The curative effect of the two groups was compared. Results There was no significant difference in the corneal epithelial healing time between the two groups (P>0.05). The pain scores at 48 h and 72 h after operation in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in pain score between the two groups at 1 week after operation (P>0.05). The duration of conjunctival graft edema in the observation group was (16.63±4.77)d, which was shorter than that in the control group ([20.43±5.57] d), the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The patients were followed up for 6 months, the curative effect of the observation group was better than that of the control group, the cure rate of the observation group (80.00%) was higher than that of the control group (57.14%), the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of keratolysis between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion The use of Pranoprofen Eye Drops after pterygium surgery can reduce the inflammatory reaction and partially relieve pain, which also can improve the curative effect and cure rate.
