Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of Olanzapine on sleep disorder in patients with depressionn. Methods A total of 102 cases of patients with depression and sleep disorders and who received treatment in Ganzhou People′s Hospital from February 2018 to November 2020 were retrospectively collected and divided into the observation group and the control group according to the different treatment methods, with 51 cases in each group. The observation group were given Olanzapine drug treatment, the control group were given conservative psychological treatment. The improvement of clinical symptoms and sleep before and after treatment in the two groups were observed. Results Before treatment,there was no significant difference in sleep status between the two groups (P>0.05). After treatment, the light sleep time, deep sleep time and total sleep time of the observation group were shorter than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The total effective rate of observation group was higher than control group after treatment, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The Olanzapine treatment for depression patients with sleep disorders can improve the sleep condition of patients and ensure their sleep quality. After drug treatment, the clinical symptoms are also relieved, and the treatment effect is better, thus it is recommended to be popularized in clinical practice.
