Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of intensive infection nursing on reducing the incidence of multi-drug resistant bacteria infection in severe respiratory patients. Methods Eighty patients with severe respiratory illness admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Gannan Medical University from February 2018 to June 2020 were selected as the research objects, and were divided into the observation group(40 cases)and the control group(40 cases)according to the random number table method. The control group adopted anti-infection nursing and the observation group adopted intensive infection nursing. The infection and outcome of multi-drug resistant bacteria, the qualification rate of various indicators, and the total satisfaction of nursing were compared between the two groups. Results The infection rate of multi-drug-resistant bacteria in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There were no significant difference in the cure rate and mortality of multi-drug-resistant bacteria infection between the two groups(P>0.05).The qualified rates of medical waste disposal, personal protective equipment, and hand hygiene of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The observation group′s total nursing satisfaction was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Intensified infection nursing can reduce the incidence of multi-drug-resistant bacterial infections in patients with severe respiratory illness, and improve patients′overall satisfaction with nursing work.It is worthy of clinical promotion
