Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine in the treatment of diabetic foot infection and its influence on serum inflammatory factors. Methods A total of 178 patients with diabetic foot infection admitted to Nanchang Hongdu Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from February 2018 to March 2020 were selected as the research subjects, and they were divided into the control group(n=89)and the observation group(n=89) by the random number table method. The control group was treated with Western medicine, and the observation group was treated with integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine. After 1 month of treatment, the treatment effect of patients was evaluated. The postoperative recovery time, traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scale score, dorsal foot artery diameter, blood flow velocity, vascular cell adhesion molecule 1 (VCAM-1), interleukin 6 (IL-6), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and C-reactive protein (CRP) levels before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the time of granulation tissue growth, foot ulcer debridement and epithelial tissue formation in the observation group were faster than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). There were no significant differences in the score of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scale, dorsal foot artery diameter and blood flow velocity between the two groups before treatment (P>0.05). After treatment, the scores of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scale and blood flow velocity of the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and the dorsal foot artery diameter was increased compared with that before treatment, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). After treatment, the score of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scale and the blood flow velocity of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the diameter of the dorsal foot artery was higher than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Before treatment, there were no significant differences in serum inflammatory factor levels between the two groups (P>0.05). The levels of serum inflammatory factors in the two groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.01). The levels of serum inflammatory factors in the observation group after treatment were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.01). Conclusion The combination of traditional Chinese and Western medicine is effective in treating diabetic foot infection. It can promote the rehabilitation of the patients′ limbs, relieve the symptoms, improve the diameter of the dorsal artery of the foot, speed up blood flow, and significantly reduce the level of inflammatory factors in the patients, thereby promoting the recovery of inflammation. It is of great significance to the treatment of diabetic foot infection, and it is worthy of promotion and applicatio
